![]() ![]() However, changing to WASAPI in Reaper, then set Mode: Exclusive (and ensuring the Windows Sounds properties also had the "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" ticked), I then found that this kicked WASAPI into life, and gives me a latency of just 10ms (Sample format 16bit, Inputs 2, Outputs 2, Rate 48000Hz, Block size 512 samples. ![]() Allow Pull Mode (WaveRT), Always Resample 44.148kHz, Force WDM Driver to 16 bit, but ASIO4ALL just would not work - silence! I had also tried changing the various settings in the ASIO4ALL control panel, eg. Firefox browser which I was using to view video, listen to audio, etc), and despite experimenting with the Exclusive Mode settings in the Advanced tab for the Windows Sounds properties for the Digital Output Device (SPDIF), where two boxes are available "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device", and "Give exclusive mode applications priority". When using WaveOut in Audio Device Settings I too was getting 187ms delay from playing MIDI in (Novation 25SL MkII) via Automap 3.7.4 to VSTi synth (Camel Alchemy) in Reaper.Äownloaded ASIO4ALL V2.10, and set this up but could NOT get this to work despite ensuring all other apps were exited (e.g. ![]() I am on Windows Vista SP1, with a fairly standard Microsoft High Definition Audio Device, which gives 5.1 surround and has SPDIF output to my Logitech S-5500 surround sound. Thanks guys for this thread which helped me. It's configured to work with Reaper simply via Preferences>MIDI Input>Nocturn Keyboard. The keyboard is connected via USB cable to my computer (1.1 to 2.0), there's no other means of connecting the keyboard to the computer. Is there any way to fix this? I really enjoy Reaper and I can't exactly afford to get a new keyboard, so I hope this isn't a permanent issue. I'd say about 1/3 t of second, though my estimate could be way off. The delay is not long, but long enough to make it impossible to play with the external keyboard. Nevertheless, I realize that there's always going to be some delay, it's just often so small you don't notice it. I am new to Reaper (and most programs like it), so if I'm missing anything I apologize for my stupidity. There is a delay between pressing the key on my external keyboard (the Nocturn) and when it plays the appropriate sound in Reaper. It works great the Automap software that came with the keyboard fits my needs and the keyboard is working well as the MIDI Input for Reaper, except for 1 problem. Any help will be most welcome.I recently hooked up my Novation Nocturn 49 keyboard to Reaper. I wonder if the external is not compatible with Mojave or something. I even was even able to map different CC's in the external patcher from Reaper with "Assign MIDI Map" in Max. I've tried every combination of this ports but Reaper do not receive any MIDI input from Nocturn. In Reaper's MIDI devices it shows "from Max 1", "from Max 2", "to Max 1" and "to Max 2". In the Max console (with the project's monitoring option enabled) I can see that each rotary and button emits a different CC (can't figure out to what midi channel, though). I'm able to open the external in Max and it connects with Nocturn. I've tried for 2 days now to make it work in Reaper without success. Your work it's my only hope of keep using my current setup but get rid of Automap and Mojave. My problem is that I'm a mac user and Automap is only compatible until Mojave. ![]() The Nocturn became a integral part of my composing and producing setup when paired with Reaper and ReaLearn (only using CCs). Hi! Firstly, thank you very much for your efforts in trying to keep this little controller alive. ![]()
